Mode Of Action	Antifibrinolytic haemostatics that act probably by correcting abnormal platelet adhesion hence reducing capillary bleeding
Drug Indication	Short-term treatment of blood loss in menorrhagia, prevention and treatment of periventricular haemorrhage in low birth-weight infants.
Contra-Indications	Porphyria.
Side Effects	Rashes, headache, nausea.
Dosage	Short term treatment of blood loss in menorrhagia: 500mg QID during menstruation. Prevention and treatment of periventricular haemorrhage in low birth weight infants: 125 mg/kg QID.
